The fusion of a passion for the sea and a fascination with biodiversity have driven me for the past 20 years to continuously search for essences of the Coastal Garrigue. Over these years I have traveled extensively and seized every moment to be able to study the strip of vegetation that marks the limit of desertification.
My experiences in Puglia, Sicily, Corsica, Greece and Tuscany have greatly enriched my cultural background.
I was able to catalogue so many plant species of the Coastal Garrigue and more than 200 plant species that are part of the “Macchia Mediterranea”. As a result of these studies and experiences, today I can teach several modules pertaining to these vegetation classes. The Coastal Garrigue today represents the highest level of biodiversity on planet earth.
