SICILIA

Sicily is home to large fields of endemic Chamaerops humilis, which stands in symbiosis with endemic species of Euphorbia.
The scrubland features Lentiscus, Teucrium, Phyllirea, Thymelea, Wild Thyme, Poterium spinosum, Capers and more.
As in Apulia there is a large presence of Scilla maritima and Asphodelus.
High endemicity, also due to torrid temperatures and drought between May and September.
